Description

This is a pair of semi-detached villas dating from the early 19th century. They are built of stucco and have hipped slate roofs. The villas, set back from Western Road and facing south, have a symmetrical design with three windows per side. Each villa has a plinth, clasping corner pilasters and a narrow band below a wide eaves soffit featuring paired brackets. The recessed sash windows have 8/8 panes of Crown glass, with the ground-floor windows being taller. The central entrance has a round-headed doorway with a 6-panel door and a semi-circular fanlight, sheltered by a projecting Tuscan porch with tapering columns, a full entablature and a blocking course. End-wall chimneys are present.
