Description
Woods Cottage is a pair of houses dating from the 17th century or earlier. They are timber framed and finished with pebble dash. The main block is a long, one-storey structure with an attic and features a gabled thatched roof. To the south, there is a lower block that also has a gabled thatched roof. The main block includes two gable end stacks, two eyebrow dormers, and one stack along the ridge line. The windows are 19th-century small pane casements. There is a thatched lean-to extension against the north gable. Some of the storey posts have jowled profiles, suggesting the possibility of a former in-line open hall structure.
