Description

This barn, located approximately 30 metres southwest of Keeres Green Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, with a roof covered in corrugated asbestos. The structure features four bays and a midstrey. The wallplates and tiebeams are made of high-quality imported softwood, each over 12 metres long, while the posts are constructed from local hardwood. The tiebeams are supported by hanging knees, and the walls have primary straight bracing. The roof is designed with clasped purlin construction and is half-hipped.
