Description

Cut Elms Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and an extension added in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed, plastered, and has a tiled roof. Originally designed as a lobby-entrance house with two bays and a central chimney stack, it was converted into two cottages in the 19th century. The original chimney stack was removed, and two new chimney stacks were added at the ends during the 19th century. A single-storey extension was added to the southeast in the 20th century. The cottage was later re-combined into one house in the 20th century. It stands at two storeys tall, with the west elevation featuring three 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor. The roof is hipped.
