Description

Little Thatch is an early 17th-century cowshed or similar small agricultural building, later used as a cottage from the early 19th century, with a 20th-century extension. The building is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a thatched roof. It consists of two bays, featuring a 19th-century external chimney stack at the south end and a 20th-century extension to the northeast. It is a single-storey building, containing two 19th-century cast-iron casement windows. The roof is half-hipped at both ends. Some timber framing is exposed internally, showcasing substantial studding, a cambered tiebeam with arched braces, and jowled posts. The interior is undivided and open to the roof, with a large 20th-century window on the east side.
