Description
No. 15 London Road is a villa built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has front and rear end wall stacks on the left and a central end wall stack on the right. It stands two storeys tall with a basement and consists of three bays. There is a later 19th-century addition at the rear, with a lower service range attached to the right.
The central entrance is accessed by four stone steps leading to a Doric doorcase, which has engaged columns and a cornice. The entrance includes a panelled door with an overlight above. A sillband runs along the first floor, and the eaves are overhanging. The windows are 12-pane sashes, featuring flat gauged brick arches with raised keyblocks and stone sills.
Inside, the staircase has a ramped and wreathed mahogany handrail, slim turned balusters, and carved tread ends.
