Description

No. 35 High Street is a villa built around 1850. It is constructed of local gault brick and features a hipped slate roof with boarded and bracketed eaves. The building has end stacks and a single pile plan, standing two storeys tall with a double fronted design. The symmetrical elevation includes three recessed sixteen-pane hung sashes. The central doorway is framed by a reeded doorcase adorned with boss enrichments, a moulded cornice, and a narrow hood. There are three steps leading up to a four-panelled door that has a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. A single-storey kitchen wing was added to the left side later in the 19th century.
