Description

Dorset House is a villa dating from approximately 1850 to 1860. It is constructed of local grey gault brick with a slate roof, featuring gables, boarded and bracketed eaves, and end stacks. The building is single pile, with two storeys and a double-fronted design. The symmetrical facade is characterised by three recessed windows, each with a twelve-pane hung sash window set within a flat arch. The central doorway is set within a double recessed elliptical arch, springing from stone impost blocks bearing the inscription “Dorset House.” Two steps lead to the original panelled door.
