Description

No. 30 High Street is a cottage, likely built in the late 18th century. It has a timber frame that is rendered, topped with a steeply pitched roof made of corrugated iron and featuring an original ridge stack. The layout follows a lobby entry plan and consists of one storey and an attic, with one dormer. The windows include two hung sashes on either side of the doorway, dating from the 19th to 20th centuries. Inside, the timber framing consists of slender scantling, and the main beams are boxed. There is a late 18th or early 19th century corner cupboard in one of the rooms. Despite its later features, the cottage retains its original three-bay and lobby entry plan.
