Description

Hylton House is a villa built around 1843. It is constructed from gault brick and features a hipped slate roof with end stacks. The building has a double pile plan and is two storeys high. The front is double fronted, showcasing a symmetrical facade with three twelve-pane hung sash windows, which are early 19th century, set under paler gault brick arches. The central doorway is recessed and has a round-headed arch supported by stone impost blocks that are incised with the name of the house. The entrance includes a panelled door and a fanlight with radial glazing bars.
