Description

The Village Cross in Stretham is an early 15th-century structure made of limestone, raised on a 19th-century brick plinth. It features a tapering broach stop-chamfered shaft that stands on an octagonal base, which has a frieze decorated with quatrefoils and blank shields. At the top, the cross is surmounted by a square head with four canopied niches, each equipped with a bracket for a sculpture, and topped with a crocketted finial.
