Description

This is a late 18th-century to early 19th-century cottage located on Pump Lane. The building is constructed of brick, which has been painted white, and is topped with a thatched roof, featuring end parapets on kneelers. It has flush brick end stacks. The cottage is one storey high with an attic space. Three 20th-century gable dormers, also thatched, have been added to the roof. There are two small-paned horizontal sliding sash windows in segmental arches on either side of the doorway. A pilaster doorcase with a dentil cornice and a narrow hood frames a four-panelled door, which is similar to the door found at No. 2 Chapel Street.
