Description

This is a villa dating from the mid-19th century, situated on the High Street in Cottenham. The building is constructed of local gault brick with a slate roof, featuring hipped sections, paired brackets to the boarded eaves, and symmetrically placed end stacks topped with original chimney pots. The facade is double-fronted and symmetrical, with three recessed sixteen-pane hung sashes set within cambered arches. A central doorway is set within a double recessed, semi-circular headed arch supported on stone impost blocks, and is painted. Two steps lead to a six-panelled door with a fanlight incorporating radial glazing bars.
