Description

Abletts House is a house that has origins from the late 17th century but was mostly constructed around 1850. It is built of local gault brick, with some late 17th century red brick on the end wall. The roof is made of slate and features a ridge stack. The layout follows a lobby entry plan with an outshut at the rear. The house has two storeys and includes cambered arches above three four-pane, flush frame hung sashes. There are two similar windows on either side of the doorway, which has a later door leading to the lobby entry.
