Description

No. 218 is a villa built around 1850, constructed from local gault brick and topped with a slate roof featuring end stacks, one of which has had its upper courses removed. The building has a double pile plan and stands two storeys tall with a double fronted design. Its symmetrical elevation includes three recessed hung sash windows with margin lights. The central doorway is framed by a panelled doorcase with reveals, a plain frieze, and a cornice. There are two steps leading up to the panelled door, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight. The property is associated with J.R. Ravensdale and is noted to be liable to flood.
