Description

Meadow View Cottage is an early 17th-century cottage located on The Street in Frinton and Walton, north of Kirby-le-Soken. The cottage is timber-framed and rendered with a grey slate gambrelled roof. It features red brick chimney stacks on the right and left sides. The building has one storey and attics, with two flat-headed dormers. There are two small multi-paned casement windows on the ground floor and a central gabled porch with a 20th-century door. Internally, the timber frame remains largely intact, including an inserted floor, chamfered bridging joists, a winding staircase, side girts, top plates and wall studs. Information was provided by C.A. Hewett.
