Description

Post Office House is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century, or possibly earlier, with subsequent alterations and additions. The building is timber framed and has a rough render finish. It has a red plain tiled roof and red brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high with attics, and features a flat-headed dormer with a small-paned casement window. The front has two windows across the first floor, with small-paned casements. The ground floor has two-light, vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars and segmental heads. A 20th-century enclosed gabled porch, with sidelights, is centrally placed, and contains a 20th-century plank and muntin door. Inside, stop-chamfered bridging joists, side girts, top plates, and some wall studs are visible.
