Description
Kirby Hall is a house dating from around 1700, with features that may be even older. It is constructed of red brick and has a red plain tiled roof, with chimney stacks on both the right and left sides and a rear wing. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring three flat-headed dormers that contain two-light casements. A moulded brick eaves cornice and a central band add to its architectural detail. The front has a three-window range with small-paned vertically sliding sashes set beneath gauged brick arches. The central entrance consists of a two-panelled four-light door topped by a traceried round-headed light, flanked by fluted pilasters, a frieze, and a moulded open pediment.
