Description
Rose Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on Pepys Street in Harwich. It is a tall, narrow, three-storey building constructed with a timber frame and covered in painted weatherboarding. The roof is gabled and features Suffolk verges, topped with clay pantiles.
The second floor has a shallow double-hung sash window with eight panes and moulded architraves. On the first floor, there is one double-hung sash window with margin glazing and a moulded surround. The ground floor includes a flush-panelled entrance door and a double-hung sash window with small panes in the lower half, also with a moulded architrave. At the rear, there is a small 20th-century brick-built single-storey lean-to, along with the stump of a rendered stack on the gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
