Description
Rose Cottage is a detached cottage built in the early 19th century. It features rubble stone walls that are rendered and painted, with a slate roof that is hipped on the left side and gabled on the right. There is a brick stack located at the left eaves and another at the right gable. The cottage has two storeys and three windows; the ground floor includes three-light segmental bay windows fitted with 20th-century metal casements, while the first floor has two-light 20th-century wooden casements with glazing bars. At the center of the first floor, there is an oeil-de-boeuf window. The front door, also centrally located, has four fielded panels and two top lights, with panelled reveals and head, and a moulded architrave. Above the door, there is a 19th-century pediment supported by moulded volutes. The property is complemented by an attached front brick sleeper wall, iron railings, and a central iron gate.
