Description

Forge Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations and a rear outshot. It is constructed from timber framing and has a rough rendered finish, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building has one storey and attics, featuring two gabled dormers. There are two 20th-century three-light casement windows and a central part-glazed gabled porch. The heavy two-bay timber frame is complemented by stop-chamfered bridging joists that support an inserted ceiling.
