Description
Thatched Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th or 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is timber framed and rough rendered, topped with a thatched roof that has two gabled dormers and a central chimney stack. The building has one storey and attics, along with a single-storey lean-to extension on the right that features a 20th-century door. There are two 19th-century style two-light casement windows. To the right, there is a 20th-century gabled porch and door. Inside, notable features include heavy chamfered bridging joists, an exposed top plate and ground cill, and a central chimney stack that now has 20th-century fire surrounds, with stairs located adjacent to the chimney.
