Description

The Thickets is a cottage that dates from the 16th or 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed from timber framing and has a rough rendered exterior. The roof is thatched and features one eyebrow dormer, along with a right external chimney stack. The building is one storey high with attics and has single storey lean-to extensions on both the left and right sides. There are various windows, including horizontal sliding sashes with segmental heads. The door, which is from the 20th century, is vertically boarded and includes a small light. Inside, notable features include chamfered bridging joists, flat section ceiling beams, and arched braces on the walls.
