Description
Highways is a cottage that dates from the 16th or 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring plaster on the returns. The cottage has a thatched roof, which includes two gabled dormers and one eyebrow dormer. There are two red brick chimney stacks; the one on the rear left has a diagonal shaft, while the one on the right has an external offset shaft. The building is one storey with attics and has a three-window range of small paned casements. To the right, there is a glazed door with two sidelights. At the forward left, there is a single storey extension covered in grey slate, which has a two-light matching window and a vertically boarded door.
