Description
The Swan is a public house with origins dating back to the 16th century or earlier, featuring later additions and alterations. The building is timber framed and rough rendered, topped with red plain tiled roofs. It has three red brick chimney stacks, located externally on the left and at both sides of the central range. The structure consists of two-storey gabled crosswings on the right and left, with a one-storey and attic central range that includes a dormer with a segmental head. The windows are arranged in a 1:1:1 pattern, with small paned casements on the first floor and two-light small paned vertically sliding sashes in the ground floor bays. There are vertically boarded doors located on the right return of the left crosswing and to the right of the central range, which has a parapet dating from the 19th or 20th century.
