Description

Oak House is a house dating back to the 17th century, and possibly with origins from an even earlier period. It has undergone alterations and additions in later centuries. The house is timber-framed and has rendered plaster walls. The roof is covered with red clay tiles. There are red brick chimney stacks, one located off-centre on each range and a further stack on the east side of the rear range. The layout is in an L shape. The building is one storey high with attics, and it has two gabled dormers on each range. The front range features two small vertically sliding sash windows on the ground floor, a central 20th-century door with a simple surround, and a small flat canopy supported by brackets.
