Description
Lodge Farmhouse, formerly known as Elmstead Lodge, is a house with an 18th-century front range and rear ranges that date from the 17th century or earlier. The front range is made of painted brick and features a hipped roof covered with red plain tiles. The rear ranges are timber framed and plastered, consisting of two storeys with gabled ends, a crosswing, and a single-storey range to the north, which has a square red brick chimney shaft attached. There are single stacks located at the rear of the front ranges. The front range includes recessed arches on the right and left sides with inset windows on the ground floor, and three small paned vertically sliding sash windows on the first floor. A central open gabled porch leads to a six-panel two-light door.
