Description
This pair of cottages dates from the 17th century and has undergone later alterations. They are timber framed, primarily covered in weatherboarding, with plastered returns and a rear section. The cottages feature a thatched roof that extends to the rear. There are red brick chimney stacks at the left end and off-center to the right. The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-window range of vari-light leaded casements, with French windows on the ground floor to the right. There are two 20th-century gabled porches; the left porch has a boarded door, while the right porch is glazed. Inside, notable features include stop-chamfered bridging joists, a side purlin roof, and a restored back-to-back inglenook fireplace.
