Description

Brockett's Hall is a house with a complex history, incorporating an 18th-century front range and a rear wing dating from around 1600, with subsequent alterations. The front range is likely constructed of plastered brick, while the rear wing is timber-framed and plastered. Both sections have red plain tiled roofs, and the front range features chimney stacks, one of which is external. The house is two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-window facade of 20th-century casement windows. A central, gabled porch with a 20th-century door provides access. Internally, notable features include moulded bridging joists, jowled storey posts, vertically boarded doors, and some original ironmongery on the doors. The rear roof is pegged at the ridge, while the front roof has a ridge board.
