Description
This building is a cottage located at the junction with Colchester Road, dating from the 17th or 18th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed from timber framing and weatherboarding, topped with a half hipped thatched roof. The cottage features central and external left chimney stacks, and it is one storey with attics, including a gabled dormer to the right of the chimney stack. There are three vari-light casements, a 20th-century porch, and a door to the left of the chimney stack. Additionally, there is a 20th-century single storey extension at the rear right. The timber frame appears mainly intact, showcasing a side purlin roof and stop-chamfered bridging joists.
