Description
Hare Cottage is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a rough rendered exterior, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys, consisting of two bays and a smoke bay. There are three windows on the first floor and five ground floor windows, all of which are 20th-century small paned casements. The central entrance features a 20th-century part-glazed door, accompanied by a red tiled porch supported on brackets. To the left, there is a single storey lean-to with one window. The cottage has a red brick chimney stack located to the left and another at the centre. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered beams, jowled storey posts, an original chimney place, a mullion window, and 18th-century doors.
