Description
The White Bear is a public house, primarily dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, with a possible earlier core. It is constructed of red brick and gault brick, featuring gabled crosswings on both the right and left sides. The building has a grey slate roof over the central and right sections, while the left range is covered with plain red tiles. It stands two storeys high and has a window arrangement of 1:2:1, consisting of small paned vertical sliding sashes, with shutters on the first floor to the left and right. The ground floor has a central bay wing flanked by boarded doors with two lights. There are red brick chimney stacks on each range. Inside, there are early 19th-century vertical paneling and doors, along with other early 19th-century features.
