Description
The outbuilding and cottage located to the west of The Old Rectory is likely from the 16th century, constructed with medieval re-used timbers and featuring a roof that was re-done in the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The structure is two storeys high, with gabled end crosswings on both the left and right sides, and a central single-storey block. The left range has large double doors, while the central range includes two stable doors, two double doors, and a small paned sliding sash window in the middle, along with two additional windows to the right. The right crosswing features a window range of two-light small paned casements. Throughout the building, there are chamfered beams. The outbuilding and cottage contribute to the landscape value of the area, which includes The Old Rectory and its garden setting.
