Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from around 1780, with a possibly older single-storey range to the right. It is constructed of red brick and features a double range red tile roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with three flat-headed dormers. There is a five-window range of small-paned vertical sliding sashes and a parapet. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped with an attractive semi-circular fanlight, which is framed by an open pediment supported by foliate brackets, along with a moulded surround and panelled reveals. The single-storey range to the side includes four small-paned casements and displays a central Phoenix Insurance Plaque. The garden front features two slightly projecting bays, each with pediments. Additionally, there are remains of a moat to the north of the house.
