Description

The barn west of Stanford Rivers Hall Farmhouse is an 18th-century structure, dated 1752. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a roof clad in corrugated asbestos. The barn has eight bays and features two midstreys along with two full-height double doors. There are lean-to seed bins located between the midstreys and to the left of the barn. The roof is constructed with staggered side purlins and a Queen strut design. Inside, there are arch braces supporting the tie beams, through bracing on the walls, and horizontal bracing in the midstreys. The date of construction is marked on the aisle tie beams.
