Description

This is a house on High Street, Great Wakering. It originated as a medieval house, potentially dating back to the 16th century, but was almost entirely rebuilt in the 19th century. The house is timber-framed and now faced with 19th-century gault brick. It has a red plain tiled roof and red brick chimney stacks at both ends. The house is two storeys high. The right-hand section features a restored jettied crosswing. There are two windows on the left and one on the right, all with small-paned vertically sliding sash windows with horns. A four-panelled door with a top light is located on the right crosswing.
