Description

Cottawight is a house with multiple construction phases, originating in the 17th century with later additions and alterations. It features a combination of timber framing, plastering, and weatherboarding, as well as sections built from brick. The house has red plain tiled roofs and two chimney stacks on the road-facing side. It is designed in an L shape, with the main façade facing east. The western side, which is close to the road, has six different windows, while the eastern side includes four flat-headed dormers, various windows, and a glazed red tiled porch. The north-eastern sections are mainly constructed of gault brick and topped with grey slate roofs.
