Description

This is a headstone dated 1730, located immediately to the east of the west buttress of the south chapel of the Church of Holy Trinity. The headstone features a curved top with lower scroll ends and displays a central skull and cross-bones. It is inscribed with the words: "Here Lyeth Ye Body of Rebecka Merryfield, Wife of Thomas Merryfield of this Parish Who Departed This Life March Ye 4th 1730 aged 38 years."
