Description
Nos. 24 and 26 Hockley Road is an 18th-century house constructed of painted brick, featuring a hipped double range red tiled roof with chimney stacks on both the left and right sides. The building has two storeys and cellars, with a three-window arrangement of small paned vertically sliding sashes that include glazing bars and are topped with painted gauged arches and keystones. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled two-light door, accompanied by a frieze and a flat canopy supported by brackets. To the left side, there is a round-headed window, while the right side has a curved parapet above a single window range, which also includes a four-panelled two-light door with a panelled surround, frieze, and flat canopy on brackets. Inside, the house features period fireplaces and simple stairs.
