Description
Barringtons is a house, now used as offices, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped grey slate roof. The building has two storeys and a coped parapet. The north face has a central bay that projects forward with a central band. There is a five-window range of vertically sliding sashes, with the ground floor windows being from the 20th century. The windows are topped with gauged brick arches. A central prostyle portico is supported by paired Ionic columns that carry an entablature, leading to a double panelled door with a light above. An angled bay is present on the west face. Inside, there is a simple spiral balustered staircase. There are modern additions to the south and east of the building.
