Description

26 Heworth Green is a house, now used as offices, built around 1835 with 20th-century additions. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof. The exterior is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and three bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes, each topped with painted rusticated lintels that have cambered soffits and false keystones. The front door has six raised and fielded panels, along with a rectangular overlight that includes geometrical glazing bars. The doorcase is adorned with engaged reeded columns and a panelled frieze. A cornice gutter is supported by paired rectangular brackets, and there are two chimneys located behind the main ridge. To the right, there are 20th-century additions that are designed in a similar style. The interior has not been inspected.
