Description
This is a headstone dated 1759, located approximately 4.5 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Thomas A Becket. It commemorates Elizabeth Relph and is made of upright sandstone, standing about 1.2 meters high. The headstone features a shaped top adorned with scrolls and a skull in profile, accompanied by wing-like fronds. The inscription starts in Gothic lettering but primarily uses Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, detailing the death of Elizabeth Relph in 1759.
