Description

This headstone, dated 1666, is located approximately 34 metres east of the chapel of the Church of St. Mary. It is made of ironstone and reflects a style similar to Artisan Mannerism, featuring eared and scrolled decoration at the top. The inscription reads: "Here lyeth the body of Thomas -(?) who departed this life the 11 day of April 1666 -" although the remainder of the inscription is illegible. The scrolled decoration at the head has several holes, which may have been drilled.
