HAWKWELL RECTORY ROAD TQ 89 SE 4/7 Two headstones approx 3 metres south east of south east corner of South Porch of Church of St Mary the Virgin GV II

2 headstones. C18. The smaller with curved and scrolled head, central skull and cross-bones. Inscription to Mary Carr, wife of William Carr and 3 of their children, 1732, aged 29. The taller with a more elaborate curving to head and foliate scrolls, central sun, crossed trumpets and cherub heads, inscription to William Carr 1775 aged 74.
