Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from around 1830, likely built of plastered brick. It features a hipped grey slate roof and has a plastered chimney stack on the right. To the left, there is a lower extension made of similar materials, also with a hipped roof and a plastered chimney stack. A central band runs across the facade. The building has a window arrangement of one large window flanked by three smaller ones, all fitted with small paned vertically sliding sashes, flat arches, and keystones above, and all equipped with shutters. The central entrance consists of a two-panel, two-light door with a fanlight above. The porch is square and has an entablature, a moulded round-headed arch, and pilasters with capitals and bases. Inside, notable features include a hardwood staircase with a balustrade and newels, marble fire surrounds in the main ground floor rooms, and cast iron fireplaces on the first floor.
