Description
This barn, located on the west side of the lane approximately 70 metres north of South Lodge, is probably from the 18th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, with a roof clad in corrugated asbestos and a brick plinth. The barn has a large central midstrey with a half hipped roof, and there are outshots to the right and left that incorporate granaries, which have double vertically boarded doors. Above the doors, there is a pigeon loft with nine holes. The granaries also have vertically boarded doors. Inside, there is an oak threshing floor in the midstrey, and the tie beams are supported by hanging knees. The roof is constructed with side purlins.
