Description
South Lodge is a lodge cottage dating from the 19th century. It is timber framed and pebble dashed, with a former thatched roof now replaced by corrugated asbestos. There is a gault brick chimney stack to the left of the jettied gable and a similar one on the right. The building has a two-storey gable and a one-storey range with attics on the right. A moulded bressumer is present at the jetty, and there is a gabled dormer on the right range. The window arrangement consists of a 1:1 pattern, including a bay window on the ground floor of the gable. To the right of the gable, there is a lean-to porch featuring a two-panel, two-light door. This lodge is similar to North Lodge but does not have the right extension.
