Description

Nos 1 and 2 Shore Road is a late 18th century or early 19th century timber-framed house that is weatherboarded. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range, with some windows being double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, while others are casements. The ground floor has two rectangular bay shop windows. The roofs are tiled, and there is a square chimney stack. Nos 1 and 2 Shore Road, along with Nos 47 to 57 (odd), The School and Clock Tower, No 30, and Nos 44 to 50 (even) High Street, form a group. Nos 47 to 53 (odd) and Nos 48 and 50 are noted for their local interest.
