Description

The Anchor Hotel is an 18th-century brick building that has a roughcast exterior and features later additions. It was renovated in the 20th century. The hotel has two storeys and a five-window range, with double-hung sashes that have single vertical glazing bars set in plain reveals. At the front, there is a wide entrance porch that projects, flanked by two corner bays and a central doorway. The roof is tiled and includes one central dormer. The Anchor Hotel is part of a group that includes Quayside and Moorings, Hove to and Quay Cote, Ye Olde White Harte Hotel, Shore House, Roach House, and Corner Cottage.
