Description

This barn, now converted into a house, dates from the 18th century or possibly earlier. It is part of the original farmyard complex and is located west of the stables at Woodham Mortimer Place. The barn is largely timber framed and weatherboarded, with some 17th or 18th century brickwork. It has a red tiled roof and a red brick chimney stack on the right side. The building is one storey high with an attic space, and includes two gabled dormers. Seven windows of varying styles are present. An off-centre stable door is fitted with a light window above.
